Top Online Blackjack Hands

When playing online Blackjack, it is important to realize that certain cards or hand combinations are favorable (provided they are correctly played), while others are simply 'garbage' no matter how they're played.

Obviously the top online Blackjack hand to aim for is a 10, J, Q, K and an Ace to make a natural 21 or 'Blackjack'. This hand is unbeatable. The next best hand is a 20 against the dealer's 7 or 8.

The worst hands to hold are 15 or 16 against the dealer's? 9 or10.

Online Blackjack experts and mathematicians estimate that a good or professional Blackjack players will average approximately ten winning hands for every eleven losing hands.

This is why it is so important in the game of online Blackjack to capitalize on winning hands, in terms of splitting cards and doubling down when the 'going is good'. The opposite is true during a 'slump', to minimize losses.

Incredibly, the majority of Blackjack players are unaware as to whether they are in the 'pound seats' or are the 'underdogs'.

This is best demonstrated when players either over or under-estimate their hands and under or over bet accordingly, often without great results.

For instance, most players over-estimate hand totals such as 17 or medium pairs, based on the dealer's low up-cards. The opposite is also true, with many players under-estimating the potential of their soft hands.

They tend to take a 'hit' rather then choosing to 'double-down'.

The point is that to become a successful online Blackjack player requires diligence and the will to understand the potential of certain hands over others in relation to the dealer's cards.
