Hi-Lo Card Counting

Blackjack Tip Fix

Hi-Lo Card Counting

While there are many ways of card counting when playing Blackjack, the Hi-Lo card counting system is certainly one of the most popular. If you want to make this system work successfully for you, be prepared to put in many hours of practice and diligence.

The way this system works is that you give point values to every card that is being played at the Blackjack table. There are only three values that you ever assign, namely negative one, zero or positive one. Cards with values 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 each count as positive one, cards with values 7, 8, 9 each count as zero, and Aces and picture cards each count as negative one.

While playing, you need to keep a mental note of all the cards as their total will help you formulate a betting strategy. In short, the more 10-point cards and Aces waiting to be dealt, the bigger the chances you have of winning.

If your total is zero or close to it, this means neither your or the dealer have the advantage.

If your total is minus, then change your table or take a break. A minus figure says you should not bet wildly. It is important to note that the hi-lo card counting system will only work in conjunction with a good knowledge of a basic online Blackjack strategy.

The bottom line is that if want to become an online Blackjack guru, you need to do a lot of research and learning before you attempt to use Hi-Lo card counting.
